Blending Art and Activism: The Artivism Training and Workshop Series (Call for Applications)

We are excited to announce the launch of the second cycle of training and workshop series for the “Artivism” project activity, which aims to empower the LGBTI community to blend activism with arts. This project activity is part of LGBTI United’s annual work program for 2023 and is co-funded by the European Union. We invite interested participants to apply for this unique opportunity to explore their creative side while learning new skills and techniques.

The “Artivism” project activity offers trainings and workshops in graphic design, web design, basic production and post-production of short videos, photography, painting, and fashion design. Participants will have the opportunity to develop critical and activist thinking through queer art theory, and create works of art and design in the fields of photography, fashion activism, painting, and graphic design. The products of the workshops will be showcased in a public exhibition.

Interested candidates should be over the age of 18, willing to attend all the scheduled trainings and workshops, and apply the acquired knowledge in their future activist endeavors.

Transportation, accommodation, and meals for participants will be covered by LGBTI United.

The application period for the call will be open until August 31st, 2023. Please note that incomplete applications or those submitted after the deadline will not be considered. Only selected candidates will be notified by September 15th, 2023.
